Orono Farmers' Market Winter Delivery Schedule 08-09

Many vendors of the Orono Farmers' Market are planning once-a-month winter deliveries to Orono, on the second and fourth Saturday of the month at the downtown location parking lot behind the Bear Brew Pub. Snow dates: this year there will be no snow date, but each individual vendor will decide whether if it is safe to attend or not.

Maine-ly Poultry -- (Email - jbarnstein@aol.com, phone - 273-2809) 9 to noon with all kinds of fresh chicken and eggs. 2nd and 4th Saturdays.

Cornerstone Farm -- (Email hanne@cornerstonefarm.us, phone - 487-5945) She will have a full list of pork, along with nitrate-free ham and bacon.  She asks people to contact her to pre-order. She plans to be at market from 10-11am , and will bring some extra for people who don't remember to pre-order. 2nd and 4th Saturdays

Meadowsweet Farm -- (Email - meadowsweet@prexar.com, phone - 338-1265) Paula will have a good selection of beef, ground beef, stew, steaks, roasts, and also have some lamb and mutton.  If you wish to know what we have available, and to place an order to be sure I have what you want, please send me an email. I will also bring a selection of blankets and sheepskins. 2nd Saturday only.

Appleton Creamery -- (Email - info@appletoncreamery.com) We will be at the market for a *short* delivery time, generally 10-11. We still have a good supply of goat cheese: spreads, feta, chevre in olive oil. We have a very limited supply of Georges Highland, the aged sheep cheese. Look for seasonal offerings. 2nd Saturday only.

Freyenhagen Family Farm -- Jim will be there with maple syrup, phone 785-4559

Grassland Farm -- Sarah & Garin Smith, ph. 474-6864, grasslandfarm@hotmail.com. Organic milk in glass bottles. 2nd and 4th Saturdays

Vine and Branch Farm -- phone 945-6651 or email vineandbranchfarm@yahoo.com. 9 to noon. Mark will bring a wide selection of grass fed beef and pastured pork. 2nd and 4th Saturdays

Far East Cuisine Catering Service -- Bich Nga will have a fine selection of her Far East Cuisine unless she decides it is too cold. Email FarEastCuisine@aol.com, ph. 223-4150. Please check our menu and call us with a pre-order for winter deliveries. 2nd and 4th Saturdays

High Lonesome Acres -- Linda Jessen will have baked goods and preserves, maybe some winter vegetables and eggs. ph. 683-2466, busylady@tds.net. 2nd and 4th Saturdays

Olde Oak Farm -- Scott and Jen will be there with goat and cow milk cheeses. Phone: 866-7719

Lobster Shack -- Lobster, scallops, shrimp, haddock, halibut. Perley Frazier, ph. 367-5059, 2nd and 4th Saturdays

Sunny Acres Farm -- Donna will be coming with her Daily Bread 2nd and 4th Saturdays

Double Bit Farm -- will be bringing some winter vegetables

Worcesters Wild Blueberries -- with fresh, frozen boxes of blueberries along with our jams, jelly, syrup, etc
